It was 90º and sunny everywhere in Oregon today—except for the beach, where it was foggy and about 59º. Not quite the blue skies and glistening water I’d wanted as the backdrop for our photo shoot but the light was actually very nice and we ended up with some photos I liked. The biggest problem was pretending to be warm. I really felt more like this:
Here’s the shawl from a few different angles:
From the front. (Although you can’t see it well, the shawl is pinned together with another Leslie Wind ornament. It’s made of two silver figure-8s linked with a silver chain. It slips through the yarn-overs on the side—sort of like a cuff link for your shawl.)
The pattern is called Summer is a State of Mind and will be available for pre-order on Wednesday, 8/24, at a discount, then go up to it’s full price on September 1. The yarn is a single skein of the lovely Luxe B that I mentioned in my Sock Summit post.
