came across your website thru Ravelry, I too live in the portland area!! YEY! lovely weather we are having, which is unusual as its mostly cloudy and raining by now, so soak up the sunshine while you can!!
I’d love to learn to knit. I taught myself to crochet after I learned how to loom almost a year ago. Im really into doing my scarfs for the local holiday bazaars coming up. Trying to afford my new found addiction and obsession
would love to find out when your doing your classes.
I live outside of Oregon City. Mulino Molalla area.. small…………SMALL town, with not a whole lot to do around here, and I keep trying to figure out the knitting thing and I start to cry and carry on and quit everytime. OYE! I just love your patterns and your blog makes me smile and giggle! Love it! looking forward to hearing from you soon! WELCOME TO THE NORTHWEST!!!

Hi Bethany, thanks so much for stopping by. Among other things, this is a timely reminder that I should be organizing some classes by now!
We’re up in Forest Grove, near Hillsboro. It’s gorgeous! We really love it here–and we’re so glad we didn’t have to spend the summer in sweltering Illinois!
So glad you’re learning how to knit–but it can be frustrating, I totally sympathize. I think knitting is a bit trickier to learn than crochet, though once you get started you won’t want to stop. Have you tried some of the videos on YouTube?
BTW, are you familiar with the Thrifty Knitters group on Ravelry? It’s one of my favorite groups–lots of tips on knitting (and doing other things) on a budget.
Hope you’ll stick around and let me know how the knitting is coming along!
Best,
Sarah
